Trouble updating

A. If the update does not start after trying the steps in the update instructions, please try the following.

Make sure you are performing the update in the correct sequence.
1.Press and hold the CAPTURE and HOME buttons.
2.Press and hold the reset button on the back of the device for about 1 second and release it. (The two buttons on the front panel should remain pressed at this time.)
3.Release the reset button for about 1 second and then release the capture and HOME buttons.

The controller you are updating may not be properly recognized by the computer.
1.Right-click on “ZuikiEvoTopUpdate” in the update folder.
2.Click “Run as administrator” in the pop-up window.
3.If the driver was not installed properly, it will be installed here.
4.Execute the update procedure in the launched application.

If running as administrator does not improve the situation, install the driver manually. Please try the following steps.
1.Open the “DRIVER” folder in the update folder.
2.Double-click “SETUP.EXE” to start it.
3.When the dialog box appears, click the “INSTALL” button.
4.Click “OK” when the pop-up window displays “The drive is successfully pre-installed in advance!
5.Close the dialog box that was activated and restart the computer.
*Caution*
The computer must be restarted after setting up. Please try the update again after restarting.

A. When using a downloaded application or file, for example, you may see the message “Your PC has been protected by Windows.
This is a screen that appears to protect your computer from possible harm.
This message may appear even if the application or file is safe.
*The screen, operating procedures, functions, etc. may differ depending on the Windows update status.

If “Your PC has been protected by Windows” is displayed, please take the following measures.
1.When the “Your PC has been protected by Windows” is displayed, click “More Information”.
2.Confirm that the application is ZuikiEvoTopUpdate.exe and click “Run”.

Trouble with EVOTOP itself

A. Please check if the connection is made properly. If the connection is correct, the following possibilities are possible.

For EVOTOP Setting mode may be in use.
Press the “EVOTOP” button when you are in the For EVOTOP Setting mode.
*For EVOTOP Setting is a mode to change settings in EVOTOP. For Game Play mode is required to operate the connection.

If EVOTOP is connected to a PC, the input method of the game and EVOTOP may be different.
・If the connection mode is PC-USB or PC-UWB, the PC will recognize EVOTOP as X-Input.
・If the connection mode is PC-Bluetooth®, the PC recognizes EVOTOP as Direct-Input.
Please make sure that the input method of the game you wish to play matches the EVOTOP input method.

A. If you suddenly lose control during a game, the following possibilities are possible.

You may have pressed the profile setting shortcut.
Please check your touchmonitor and if it is on the screen of profile setting shortcut cut, touch “BACK” on the upper left corner of the monitor or press “EVOTOP button”.

If it is not the above, please try the following remedies.
1.switch the power mode switch from “ON” to “OFF” and wait for 5 seconds. If there is no response, repeat the procedure several times.
2.If you are using UWB, disconnect the UWB dongle from your PC and reconnect it.
3.Press the reset button on the back of the controller with a thin object.

A. If there is no sound coming from the controller, the following possibilities are possible.

Please make sure you are connected to Bluetooth® audio.
EVOTOP has different connection methods for the Bluetooth connection of the controller and the Bluetooth audio connection.
Click here for information on the Bluetooth audio connection method. *EVOTOP does not support USB-Audio. Simply making a USB connection to your device will not produce audio from the controller.

The “Volume” of the controller may be set to 0%.
Please adjust the volume from the “Speaker Volume” menu or the “For Game Play” shortcut.

Is the connection mode set to Switch-USB or Switch-Bluetooth?
Plug the earphone into the EVOTOP earphone jack and check if sound comes out.
*If the connection mode is Switch-USB or Switch-Bluetooth, the EVOTOP speaker will not produce sound.

A. If the controller does not turn on or the monitor is dark, the following possibilities are possible

The battery power may be low.

It may be in eco mode.
If the monitor is dark while the power mode switch is “ON” and the “EVOTOP button” is lit, the monitor may be in eco mode.
Press the “EVOTOP button” while in eco mode. Or, turn the power mode switch OFF and then ON again to cancel the eco mode.

A. EVOTOP uses lithium-ion batteries for its batteries.

Lithium-ion battery

A. The controller may be frozen.
1.switch the power mode switch from “ON” to “OFF” and wait for 5 seconds. If there is no response, repeat the procedure several times.
2.If the power does not turn off after doing the above, press the reset button on the back of the controller with a thin object.

A. If you are unable to connect to the Nintendo Switch wired or wirelessly, the following possibilities are possible.

The Switch unit may be frozen.
Please hold down the power button on the Nintendo Switch console for at least 12 seconds to turn it off completely, open it for 10 seconds and then turn it back on to see if there is an improvement.

The number of controllers that can be registered to the Switch may have reached its maximum limit.
The maximum number of controllers that can be registered to the Nintendo Switch console is 10. The maximum number of controllers that can be connected at the same time is 8. Please check if the maximum number has been exceeded.

A. The stick shaft may be floating due to stick replacement, etc.
Push the stick in until it “clicks”.

A. The three claws may not be engaged.
Please insert the stick correctly so that the holes on the shaft of the stick and the claws engage.

A. The controller may be frozen.

A. The position of the cross-shaped buttons may be incorrect.
Check the indentation on the side of the controller and insert the buttons correctly so that the convexes on the back of the cross-shaped buttons are aligned.

A. You may have touched the stick when registering the controller.
Please check if the problem is corrected by unregistering the controller and then registering it again.

If the above does not improve the problem, calibration may help.

A. The rear paddle may not be inserted in the correct position.
Check the imprint on the back of the paddle and the print on the back of the controller indicating the paddle, and insert the paddle in the correct position.

A. If the microphone on the EVOTOP unit and your headset is not working, the following possibilities are possible.

Are you connected to the Nintendo Switch™?
Speakers and microphone cannot be used in connection with the Nintendo Switch™. Audio output is only available through the earphone jack.

The headset standard may not be compatible.
Headsets connected to EVOTOP are only compatible with the CTIA standard. If your headset follows the OMTP standard, you may not be able to use the microphone.

Trouble with EVOTOP functions

A. Please check if the connection is made properly. If the connection is correct, the following possibilities are possible.

For EVOTOP Setting mode may be in use.
Press the “EVOTOP” button when you are in the For EVOTOP Setting mode.
*For EVOTOP Setting is a mode to change settings in EVOTOP. For Game Play mode is required to operate the connection.

If EVOTOP is connected to a PC, the input method of the game and EVOTOP may be different.
・If the connection mode is PC-USB or PC-UWB, the PC will recognize EVOTOP as X-Input.

A. If TURBO-Z ( rapid-fire ) cannot be registered, the following possibilities may be considered.
*If you cannot deactivate TURBO-Z ( rapid-fire ), please refer to this page.

rapid fire registration can only be set in For Game Play mode (mode in which the game is operated).
1.If you are in For EVOTOP Setting mode, press the EVOTOP button to move to For Game Play mode.
2. Press and hold the TURBO-Z button and the button for which you want to register rapid fire for at least 2 seconds at the same time to register rapid fire. For more information, please visit here.

You may be in SPORT mode.
To cancel the SPORT mode, set the “power mode switch” to “ON”.
*TURBO-Z and macro functions are disabled in SPORT mode.

There is a possibility that the button cannot be registered for rapid fire.
The “- button”, “+ button”, “Capture button”, and “HOME button” cannot register rapid fire in all connection modes.

A. If TURBO-Z ( rapid-fire ) cannot be deactivated, the following possibilities may be considered.

Registration/cancellation of rapid-fire can only be set in For Game Play mode (mode in which the game is operated).
1.If you are in For EVOTOP Setting mode, press the EVOTOP button to move to For Game Play mode.
2. Press and hold the TURBO-Z button and the button for which you want to cancel the rapid-fire registration simultaneously for at least 2 seconds. For more information, please click here.

A. The capture button can only be used when the Nintendo Switch™ is connected; it cannot be used when connected to a PC.

A. You can return to For Game Play mode by pressing the “EVOTOP” button when in For EVOTOP Setting mode.
*For EVOTOP Setting is a mode to change settings within EVOTOP. You must be in For Game Play mode to operate the connection.

A. If the volume is low even when the EVOTOP “Volume” is set to 100%, the volume of the Nintendo Switch™ or PC connected via Bluetooth audio may be low.
Please adjust the volume on the Nintendo Switch™ or PC to match the volume on the Nintendo Switch™ or PC.
*This product is not linked to the volume of the Nintendo Switch™ or PC connected via Bluetooth audio.

A. If the macro does not work, there are the following possibilities.

Please make sure that the macro is registered.
To use a macro, you must record the operation in the “Key Macro” setting and then assign the recorded Key Macro to M1~M4 paddles in “Key Macro”.

You may be in SPORT mode.
To cancel the SPORT mode, turn the “power mode switch” to “ON”.
*TURBO-Z and Macro will be disabled while in SPORT mode.
