Connecting to Devices

EVOTOP has five different connection modes.

Connecting via Switch-USB

This mode connects to the Nintendo Switch™ via USB cable.

Connection Method

Set the connection mode switch to Switch-USB.

With the Nintendo Switch™ device powered off, connect it to the USB terminal of the Nintendo Switch™ dock using the dedicated USB cable.

  • Vibration does not work in Switch-USB mode.
  • Microphone and speaker cannot be used in Switch-USB mode.
  • Please do not unplug the USB cable during use, as this may cause malfunction of the Nintendo Switch or controller, or loss of stored data.
  • Please use the included USB cable.
  • When connecting, please be careful of the direction of the USB cable terminals.

Connecting via Switch-Bluetooth®

This mode connects to the Nintendo Switch™ via Bluetooth®.

Connecting for the first time in Switch-Bluetooth mode

Set the connection mode switch to Switch-Bluetooth®.

Set the connection mode switch to Switch-Bluetooth®.

Wait until the connection mode switch is completed.

Operate the Nintendo Switch™ and select “Controllers” -> “Change Grip/Oder” from the HOME menu.

When pairing is complete, the device will automatically connect to the Nintendo Switch™.

If the connection is successfully established, the connection information in the “For Game Play” mode will change to an icon indicating that the connection is in progress.

How to connect

In “For Game Play” mode, press the L and R buttons on the controller simultaneously to connect to the Nintendo Switch™.

Connectting via PC-USB

This mode connects to a PC with a USB cable.

Connecting via PC-Bluetooth®

This mode connects to a PC via Bluetooth®.

Connecting for the first time in PC-Bluetooth® mode

Set the connection mode switch to PC-Bluetooth®.

Wait until the connection mode switch is completed.

Operate Windows® PC and open “Add Device” by selecting “Settings” -> “Bluetooth and Devices” -> “Add Device” -> “Bluetooth”.

Select “Bluetooth” and open “Add Device”.

Select “ZUIKI EVOTOP (◯◯◯◯◯◯)”* when it appears on the “Add Device” screen. When “Your device is ready to go!” is displayed, press “Done”.
*The individual ID in parentheses ( ) will be displayed on the controller pairing screen.

Select “ZUIKI EVOTOP (◯◯◯◯◯◯)*” when it appears on the “Add Device” screen.

When “Connected” is displayed, press “Done”.

  • When pairing with another device in the PC-Bluetooth mode, please unpair the currently connected device before proceeding with the procedure.

How to connect

Enable Bluetooth® on your Windows® PC and select “ZUIKI EVOTOP (◯◯◯◯◯◯)*” in the Bluetooth settings.
*The individual IDs in parentheses ( ) will be displayed on the controller pairing screen.

  • In PC-Bluetooth® mode, the input method is DirectInput.
  • In PC-Bluetooth® mode, the vibration of the grip part does not vibrate.

Connecting via PC-UWB

This mode is used to make a UWB connection with a PC when playing on a PC.

Connecting for the first time in PC-UWB mode

Set the connection mode switch to PC-UWB.

Set the connection mode switch to PC-UWB.

Wait until the connection mode switch is completed.

Wait until the connection mode switch is completed.

Connect the UWB dongle to the Windows® PC you wish to connect.

Press and hold the button on the side of the UWB dongle to enable the dongle's pairing mode. The LED on the dongle will blink during pairing.

While the LED on the dongle is blinking, select “Menu” → “UWB/Bluetooth Settings” → “Start Pairing the Controller” on the controller.

Select “Start Controller Pairing.

When the connection is successfully made, the LED on the dongle will turn off. The controller monitor will shift to “For Game Play” mode.

How to connect

Set the connection mode switch to PC-UWB.

Set the connection mode switch to PC-UWB.

Wait until the connection mode switch is completed.

Connect the UWB dongle to your device.

  • The input method in PC-UWB mode is X-Input.
  • Only one controller can be connected to one dongle at the same time.
  • The USB dongle cannot be connected to the Nintendo Switch.
  • Vibration does not work in PC-UWB mode.
